The Poor you’ll always have with you!

                                                   Matthew 26:11: “The poor you will always have with you…”

Yes I believe it was Jesus who was quoted as saying this about 2000 years ago at a home where a woman was anointing him with oil in front of some pretty indignant people.  Just what are we to do?  What is our responsibility to the poor or  to those we suspect might be  using our gifts to buy drugs or alcohol?  Does that absolve us from any further responsibility to helping?
